28th Kerala Science Congress organized by Kerala State Council for Science and Technology jointly with the Centre for Water Resource Development and Management (CWRDM) and University of Calicut will be held during during 28 to 30 January 2016 at University of Calicut Campus, Thenhipalam in Malappuram district of Kerala.
The Kerala Science Congress will consist of technical sessions involving theme lectures by eminent scientists, research presentation by young researchers, memorial lectures, Special sessions, post-graduate student interaction session and children’s science congress. Talented young researchers will be honored with the ‘Kerala State Young Scientist Award’ during this event.
“Climate Change and its Impact on Water Resources of Kerala” is the Special theme chosen for the 28th Kerala Science congress.
Dr. M.S.Swaminadhan will preside over the congress. Honouring our well known scientists Dr. P.K.Iyengar, Dr. G.N. Ramachandran, Dr.E.K.Janaky, P.T.Bhaskara Panicker, Dr.P.R.Pisharoty, memorial speeches will also be held at the occasion.Science exhibition, discussions and Balasasthra congress are also scheduled in the function.
Children's Science Congress
About 200 school students from Malappuram District will be given a chance to participate in the 28th Kerala Science Congress.
To Participate in Children's Science Congress
Students from schools of Malappuram district studying in class 5 to 12 can be nominated by the Headmasters/Principals for participation in the Children Science Congress.
Duly filled up registration forms in the enclosed format shall be forwarded by the Head of the institution and send to the following address so as to reach on or before 15th December 2015.
