Calicut university released the notification for admission to two-year (4 semester) MBA programme, MBA (Health Care) and MBA (International Finance) for 2024-25 at the Department of Commerce & Management Studies (DCMS) University of Calicut and at the Self Financing MBA centres (School of Management Studies) under the Department.
Eligible candidates can apply for the Calicut University MBA admission through www.admission.uoc.ac.in. Applications are also invited for admission to the merit seats of management institutes/colleges affiliated to the University (please see the list of MBA colleges - Annexure I) and for the Part-time MBA (Evening programme - Self Financing - 4 semesters). If sufficient No. of candidates do not prefer any of the centres for the MBA evening programme, the programme will not be offered at that centre. Calicut University MBA Admission Eligibility
Any degree of the University of Calicut (including degree Programmes of the SDE/Open Degree programme of SDE, University of Calicut) or that of any other University or Institute or Institution recognized by the UGC or AICTE. Programmes of other Universities or Institutions shallbe in 10+2+3 pattern (or 10+2+4) under regular stream.
In all the cases, the student should have passed the Bachelor Degree examination with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade inaggregate, including the marks of the languages, if any. OBC and SC/ST students are allowedrelaxation in marks as per rules (i.e.; 5% relaxation for OBC & Other Eligible Communities and amere pass for SC/ST).
Applicant must obtain a valid score in any one of the following management aptitude test :
a) KMAT conducted by CEE, Govt. of Kerala, 2024 only
b) CMAT of AICTE, 2024 only
c) IIM-CAT, 2024 only.
Two years work experience is required for MBA evening programme in addition to the other requirements. In the absence of adequate number of applicants with two years experience,others would also be considered. Candidates awaiting their final semester degree results can also apply. candidates should submit their Original Qualifying Certificates and Final MarkList/Consolidated Grade Card to prove the eligibility before the closing date of admission fixed by the university.
Calicut University MBA Admission Selection
Selection will be based on the score obtained for the year 2024 either in the CMAT conducted by AICTE, KMAT conducted by ASC, Thiruvananthapuram, or CAT conducted by IIMs or MAT conducted by AIMA and the score obtained in the GD and Personal Interview conducted by the University of Calicut.
Weightage Marks:
KMAT/CMAT/CAT score : 80%
Group Discussion : 10%
Personal Interview : 10%
Total : 100%
Qualifying Marks: For KMAT/CMAT/CAT, the General category/SEBC candidates who secure
10% of the total marks and above are qualified for admission for MBA programme in University Teaching Department, School of Management Studies (MBA Centres) and Affiliated Management Colleges. For SC/ST/PwD category the qualifying cut off marks is 7.5%
How to apply online for Calicut University MBA Admission 2024?
1. First Step - Mobile Number verification using OTP : Candidate applying for MBA 2022 shall complete the mobile number verification using the OTP received in the mobile.
2. Second Step - Details regarding Additional PG : After step 1, the candidates will be
redirected to the page where he/she has to furnish the details of additional PG, if applicable. If eligible, he will be permitted to create CAP ID and proceed with the registration, otherwise, registration will be denied. Please read Para IV (15) under General Conditions and Guidelines regarding additional PG.
3. Third Step - CAP ID Creation : Candidate shall create a CAP ID by providing the basic detailsusing the "New User (Create CAP ID)" link provided in the MBA 2022 registration page. After successful submission of the details, a CAP ID and Password will be sent to the registered mobilenumber instantly (Mobile number of students/ parents/guardian only to be furnished).
4. Fourth Step - Registration Completion and Making Payment : With the CAP ID and Password received in the registered mobile number, the candidate can login and fill the registration page by providing required data. Candidates shall take utmost care while selecting the reservation category during the filling up of registration data. For completing the registration, candidate shall click on the"Finalise & Proceed to Payment" button and make payment.
5. An application fee of ₹830/- for General Category and₹280/- for SC/ST Category will have tobe paid by the candidates for completing the registration procedure.
6. During the payment, the website will be redirected to the University of Calicut Instant Web Payment System (CUIWPS) page where the student can select the desired choice of payment. Aftersuccessful payment, candidates can take the print out of application after re-login by using the CAPID and Password provided earlier. (In case, the payment fails, the candidate will have to re-loginand do the payment procedure once again to complete the payment and obtain the printout of theapplication). Print out of the application will be provided only if the payment is successful.
7. Candidate's application will be considered complete only if he/she has completed the abovementioned steps and is holding a finalised printout showing approved stamp on the candidate'sphoto.
8. The candidate must mention the CAP ID Number in all future communications.
9. The applicants shall update themselves with the University website .admission.uoc.ac.in andthe University press releases for the latest information related to the admission process.
