Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) is the largest health insurance/assurance scheme in India to provide a health cover of Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization. Ayushman Bharat Card is being issued by National Health Authority (NHA) to provide health treatment under PMJAY scheme to make sure people lead a healthy life.

Ayushman Bharat Card Key Benefits

1. PM JAY provides a cover of Rs.5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization across public and private empanelled hospitals in India.

2. Over 12 crore poor and vulnerable entitled families are eligible for these benefits.

3. PM JAY provides cashless access to health care services for the beneficiary.

4. It covers up to 3 days of pre-hospitalization and 15 days post-hospitalization expenses such as diagnostics and medicines.

5. There is no restriction on the family size, age or gender.

6. All pre–existing conditions are covered from day one.

7. आयुष्मान भारत कार्ड beneficiaries can avail free treatment benefits across all the empanelled public or private hospital in India.

8. Services include approximately 1,929 procedures covering all the costs related to treatment, including but not limited to drugs, supplies, diagnostic services, physician's fees, room charges, surgeon charges, OT and ICU charges etc.

How to Check Ayushman Card (AB PM JAY Card) Eligibility?




Before you start the Ayushman Card Registration, You must check the Ayushman Card 2024 Eligibility at PM JAY Portal.

You can check your eligibility in two ways,

1. You can check the eligibility online at mera.pmjay.gov.in. This portal will direct the user to the eligibility log in portal of pmjay.

2.Visit near by PMJAY Counters.

How to Apply for Ayushman Card (AB PM JAY Card)?




Ayushman Card Registration

1. Got to NHA Setu portal https://setu.pmjay.gov.in/setu/.
2. Clcik on the Registration button of "Register Yourself & Search Beneficiary" box.
3. Applicant will register himself by filling all the mandatory tabs and then clicking on Submit button.
4. Upon successful registration, Applicant will now do their KYC through the link "Do Your KYC" and wait for the Approval. Once card is ready/approved by competent authority, Beneficiary can download the card.
5. Download PM JAY card through the link "Download Ayushman Card".

Steps to download Ayushman Bharat Card 2024




Download Ayushman Card

1. Enter the site https://setu.pmjay.gov.in/setu/

2. Click on "Download Ayushman Card"

3. Goto the site https://bis.pmjay.gov.in/BIS/selfprintCard

3. Select the state, Scheme and enter your Aadhar card and verify with OTP

4. Click on the download button

5. Check the Digital Copy of your Ayushman Card and then take a print out.

Who are covered in Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana?

PMJAY primarily targets the poor, deprived rural families and identified occupational category of urban workers families as per the 2011 SocioEconomic Caste Census (SECC) data both rural and urban areas (listed below) as well as the active families under the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY).
